Scope
This policy explains how RV Temp Monitor handles information for its invitation-only SMS temperature and connectivity alert program. RV Temp Monitor is operated by Scott E Peterson, sole proprietor, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Information we collect
We may collect and retain:
- Your mobile number and optional friendly name.
- Your invitation, enrollment, consent, and opt-out status and timestamps.
- SMS commands and messages you send to the program.
- Message submission, delivery, failure, and support information.
- Alert preferences and limited security or operational logs.
How we use information
We use this information only to authorize recipients, deliver RV temperature and monitor-status notifications, respond to commands such as STATUS and HELP, honor opt-out requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery, and meet legal obligations. We do not use the program for advertising or unrelated marketing.
SMS consent data
We do not sell or rent personal information. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose information to infrastructure, telecommunications, and messaging providers only as necessary to operate and secure the service, or when required by law.
Retention and security
We retain recipient and consent records while enrollment is active and for a reasonable period afterward to document opt-out requests, resolve delivery problems, and protect the service. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet or telecommunications system is completely secure.
Your choices
Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS. Reply START to re-enroll after a prior opt-out, subject to continued invitation. Reply HELP for assistance. Carrier processing of these commands may occur before the program receives them.
